I get into a bit of trouble with my theologian-friends when I (half-jokingly) call the late-Notorious B.I.G. a prophet. Shift

Shift is a verb that embodies change. A vehicle that has shifted gears is still moving forward, but a change has occurred that allows for acceleration (something I know a little too much about). Similarly, the shift key on your keyboard changes the output of a lower-case letter to a more intense, bolder, upper case letter that stands out amongst the other letters in a word. A capitalized letter, one that has been shifted, allows for clarity, distinction, and specific use.
